General Ledger Accountant

Our client is a Scandinavian company building its SSC structures in Warsaw.

Your new role

GL Specialist is responsible for executing and quality assurance of ledger postings and account balances ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the accounts served.

• Recurring/non-recurring journal entries including accruals and provisions
• Account reconciliation and resolving differences
• Trial Balance adjustments
• Intercompany balances with booking of reimbursements and general reconciliations
• Inventory adjustment and updating cost prices
• Internal/external audit support
• Manage and maintain fixed assets
• VAT and transactional tax accounting/reporting including other external reporting such as Intrastat
• Support to Business Finance/internal stakeholders in general

What you'll need to succeed

• Educational Background in finance
• Relevant experience in GL/RtR or finance operations
• Experience in multinational, multi-site operations is beneficial
• Attention to detail, accuracy in financial data entry and account reconciliation
• Time Management, prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent English is a must, German or one of the Scandinavian languages is an additional asset
