Key Technologies
- Proven experience (+5 years) in a commercial IT networking role with a focus on successful network design, delivery and operational support
- In-depth, expert knowledge of Cisco technologies, particularly
o Cisco routing & switching
o Cisco Wireless
o Cisco ASA Firepower
- Demonstrated experience in the broader networking ecosystem, including:
o Security: Fortinet, Palo Alto
o Services: Infoblox DNS/DHCP (v4 and v6), AWS, RSA, ISE, Cisco Anyconnect
o Tools: Solarwinds, Splunk and Wireshark
o Technologies: IPv6, SD-WAN
- Ability to understand multiple network projects, quickly mastering the intricacies of DC, LAN and network hub applications (DDI, proxy servers, Firewalls, Routers and switches) and their delivery
- Demonstrated experience working with partners and managed service providers to deliver successful changes and resolve escalated operational incidents; experience with Helix is a plus
- Experience in the ITIL process, particularly change management, with experience of preparing changes, presenting and obtaining approval at the CAB, and leading the successful implementation and closure of change activities
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create understandable, sustainable network maps and document updates and design procedures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, with the ability to extrapolate tasks, take ownership and see them through to completion
- Strong interpersonal, communication and business skills. Ability to communicate at appropriate levels

Project Outline and Responsibilities
The Architecture and Delivery function within the Europe Networks team is looking for an individual to join primarily to standardise networks across office locations in the EU, ensuring compliance with project plans and being responsible for executing network deployment tasks for project integration.

The office network is evolving, both from a real estate and technology perspective. They are currently working to deliver flexible next-generation network solutions to align with real estate strategies and user requirements. Tasks:

- Assist in defining and documenting the EU office network design
- Analyse current office configurations and develop a site-specific plan to implement our defined standards
- Prepare LAN infrastructure for deployment in office locations
- Work closely with local IS resources to implement the plan in accordance with change management processes
- Documenting and communicating with the operations department
- Provide third level support on operational issues as required

Key areas include:
- WAN connectivity: SD-WAN, MPLS, IPSec VPN
- Fixed LAN - Cisco Cat9K switches, standardisation of models, software and configuration customisation
- Wireless networking - WLC and Cisco Cat9K APs, RF surveys, Ekahau planning tool, standard SSID deployment
- Implementation of native IPv6 protocol
- Secure Gateway - secure local Internet connection, Palo Alto firewall on multiple systems
- Overtime for those willing, very occasional travel to company locations
