Network Security Specialist

Your new role
- The main responsibility is to carry out changes that occur in the client's network, change- plan, describe and implement
- 24x7 Operational Support including on-call duty of all network security related components -
Firewalls, Proxy Servers, load balancers, VPN devices and authentication servers - Provide support to our customer with network analysis; proactively driving operational excellence by solving and preventing operational issues; coordinate changes initiated by Data Centre activities acting as SPOC for assigned customer and infrastructure projects
- Convert high level or detailed design requirements into a configuration for network elements such as
Firewalls, Proxy, Load balancers, Routers and Switches - Actively influence operational efficiency and operability of the deployed connectivity solutions
- Seek clarification of risks before taking action to guarantee business continuity
- Work and interact with client support teams
What you'll need to succeed
- Good knowledge of the Network Data Centre infrastructures
- Advanced knowledge of Network Security equipment operation (Firewalls, Proxy Servers, load balancers, VPN devices & authentication servers) and of TCP/IP, routing and switching within a service provider environment. (Predominantly Juniper, Fortinet, F5 LTM and Bluecoat, Cisco an advantage).
- Fortinet NSE4 or equivalent experience of Fortinet firewalls.
- Juniper JNCIP-SEC certification or equivalent experience of Juniper SRX
- Certification or equivalent experience of Bluecoat or Fortinet proxy.
- Experience configuring and operating F5 load balancers
- Availability to travel 1 business trip per month to Düsseldorf
- International experience required (3+ years)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
