Senior Fund Accountant - relocation to Luxemburg

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join a growing team in Luxembourg. This role involves overseeing fund accounting operations, working closely with Managing Directors, and cooperating with external service providers to ensure high-quality financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and review daily bookkeeping and accounting records for fund entities.
• Oversee external accounting and coordinate with third-party service providers.
• Prepare and review monthly/quarterly cash reconciliations and fund valuations.
• Calculate accruals, capital calls, distributions, and investor notices.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies to ensure timely reporting.
• Maintain client files and ensure compliance with legal and internal procedures.
• Support audits and provide documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a point of contact for clients, Managing Directors, and internal teams.
• Provide on-the-job training and support for new team members.
• Participate in process improvements and automation initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in fund accounting.
• Strong bookkeeping skills and understanding of accounting principles.
• Good knowledge of funds; experience with private equity/private debt funds is a strong asset.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with accounting systems (e.g., Investran, eFront) is a plus.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to relocate to Luxembourg.
